Olive Oil Cookies with Ouzo

  • 175ml extra virgin olive oil Castello del Barone
  • 100gr sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground clove
  • 125ml orange juice
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 30ml ouzo
  • 500gr flour 55%

For the cookies

Preheat the oven to 175C.
Add the orange juice and baking soda to a mixing bowl and mix.
Add the extra virgin olive oil, sugar, clove, cinnamon, ouzo, flour, and knead with the hook attachment at low speed until you have a homogeneous dough. Let the dough rest for 5 minutes on the counter wrapped in cling film.
Place parchment paper on a tray.
Roll out the dough with the help of a rolling pin.
Prepare cookies in the desired shape and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until lightly brown.
